Since The Bold and the Beautiful turned Luna into a psycho killer and had her hauled off to prison, the dating pool was looking pretty shallow for R.J., Zende and Will. Poppy’s daughter had been the only female character in their age range. But that’s going to change soon, as the show is casting the new contract role of Brittany, described by TV Insider as being between 18 and 20 years old, “any mixed ethnicity, fashionable, poised, beautiful, confident, playful, energetic and assertive.”
Brittany sounds like a character we haven’t met before. But the name could just be a cover — say, if Bold & Beautiful was aging up Rick and Maya’s daughter, Lizzy. If that’s who Brittany turned out to be, it would mean that R.J. couldn’t date her — like him, she’d be Eric’s biological grandchild.
Since Zende is adopted, he wouldn’t be a blood relative of Lizzy’s, but the ick factor would still be crazy high, considering that he was one married to Lizzy’s surrogate mother, Nicole. That just leaves Will in the running for the newcomer’s affections.

Brittany could also be a recast for Sally’s sister and R.J.’s ex, Coco. But since she wasn’t mixed race previously, it seems unlikely that the show would go that route. Then again, Bold & Beautiful did just introduce a new Taylor who looks young enough to be her kids’ sister, so who knows?
Who would you cast as Brittany? We could see maybe Riverdale alum Camila Mendes or maybe Shanel Bailey, who was so good as Hazel on Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.
