In 2013, Peter announced that the family planned to hold a meeting to determine when and how he and Ronaiah were going to talk about the hoax.
"We want to do it right," Peter said in an interview at the time, also explaining that the family has hired an attorney. Peter didn't directly mention the strange prank or Ronaiah being directly involved in the 2013 interview.
