Selena Gomez Explains Why She’s So Open About Her Health Issues

Selena Gomez is getting candid about her health.

The 32-year-old star opened up about her highly publicized medical issues during a Women in Film dinner.

“I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help and when you want help,” she said during the dinner.

“That is not shameful. So, yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared I have bipolar,” she continued, adding: “F-ck off! That’s what my life is. That’s who I am.”

“I only want to be an advocate for women and that’s why I share. That’s why I like to be honest, because everybody is going through something.”

She added that she doesn’t have it “all put together” either: “I’m me and that’s all I can be. So do not let anyone tell you that you are not a good person…screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim. You’re a survivor in my book.”

Find out what else she said about not being able to carry children.
