Selena Gomez talks about infertility and mental health

At a recent event, singer and actress Selena Gomez shared a deeply personal story, opening up about her struggles with infertility and mental health. Known for her openness with fans, Gomez revealed that she cannot have children and has been living with bipolar disorder.

“I truly believe there is power in being vulnerable and in telling people when you need help, when you want help,” Gomez said in her speech. She emphasized that sharing one’s difficulties is not something to be ashamed of. “That is not shameful. So yes, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yes, I shared that I have bipolar disorder.”

The actress explained that her decision to share such personal details stems from her desire to advocate for women. “I want to be honest because everyone is going through something,” she said. “I don’t have it all together. I’m just me. And that’s all I can be.”

Gomez, who has been open about her mental health journey in the past, made it clear that embracing vulnerability is a sign of strength, not weakness. “Because that’s not lame, it’s so cool of you guys,” she remarked, encouraging others to own their personal stories. “So, screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim. You’re a survivor in my book.”

This heartfelt moment came after Selena Gomez revealed that she is unable to carry her own children due to medical reasons that pose a risk to both her and the baby. “I’ve never said this before… but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she admitted. Gomez explained that it was a reality she had to come to terms with, saying, “It was something I had to grieve for a while.”

In addition to her speech, Gomez made headlines recently for her appearance at the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The star of Hulu’s hit series ‘Only Murders in the Building’ looked stunning on the red carpet in a custom Ralph Lauren gown. Her black velvet halter dress, embellished with sparkling details, added a touch of glamour as she complemented the look with dazzling jewelry.
