The electric and talented cast of Tracker is one of the things that set the hit CBS series up for success. Justin Hartley's series was the #1 most-watched scripted 2023-2024 TV cycle series. It follows the central protagonist, Colter Shaw, who lives on the open road as a self-proclaimed "rewardist." Most of the core Tracker cast comprises Colter's skeleton team that co-works on his reward-seeking operation. Colter's team in Tracker assists him with intel vital to finding the missing persons he seeks and manages his business while he is busy getting his hands dirty.

Outside Colter's team, the Tracker cast comprises the Shaw family. Colter's family is entangled in a mystery that orbits their family, revolving around the central mystery of who killed Ashton Shaw. All of Colter's most significant family members feature in the action drama series, weighing in on the underlying questions that the show orbits around. The characters and narrative draw inspiration from the Colter Shaw book series written by Jeffery Deaver, primarily focusing on The Never Game. The compelling characters authored by Deaver make for a fun narrative on screen in the Tracker adaptation.
