After solving his very first case, reuniting a family together, Colter gets new partners, Reenie and Velma to tie up the rest of the matter.

While Colter works to crack the case, Reenie is in the middle of setting up her new law firm. As set up towards the end of season 1, she establishes her own agency with the help from Velma. However, the final scene in Tracker season 2, episode 1, "Out of the Past," suggests that Reenie and Velma will not be the only members of her law firm for much longer, with plans to expand in the near future.

When he asks her about them, Reenie tells him the associates will "be determined," suggesting that at some point in Tracker season 2, Reenie will expand her firm to employ law associates. As of right now, Colter Shaw's original team only consists of five people. Velma Bruin, his primary case handler after. She used to operate with her wife, Teddi, but considering Robin Weigert's exit from Tracker, she will likely carry this responsibility alone moving forward. Meanwhile, Bobby Exley does high-tech and research work. Finally, Reenie is the legal expert on Colter's team. It is rather a small group of people, but everyone is highly effective. While Colter certainly gets the job done with the help of his team, it would not hurt if he had more resources to execute his cases.

Additions to Colter's team would only help him in the long run. Whoever Reenie employs at her new law firm will contribute to Colter's cases. They will also benefit Reenie as her list of clients expands, and she needs more hands on deck to get the job done while she prioritizes Colter. As Velma's new partner, Reenie is effectively replacing Teddi in Tracker season 2. It is unknown when exactly Colter's team will expand, but it will likely occur through Reenie's expanding business.
